  07 - Hammer Girl Project As mentioned in my previous post, I needed to complete the forest and whilst making this, I decided to add in a few extra mechanics into the game to make the level more entertaining. Please see below the development of the forest and whole level itself: As I was happy with the whole layout of the map, I went ahead on adding different features to the game. (Adding a destructible wall, a key that is required to open a chest and if successfully opened, the player will be rewarded with gold, a quest giver that requires a certain amount of collectables and will reward the player with a sword, an npc giving clues / hints, two different jumping mechanics and lastly moving boxes into box markers to lock them in place allowing the player to jump onto of them). All of these where made with blueprints where I had a lot of fun creating these.   07 - Hammer Girl Project In week 2 I started to create and develop the level itself. Please see below images of the development of my level design: For next week I will be focusing on the forest part of the level which is the end of the level. I have an idea and have visualised in my head what I want in that part of the level. I got given some feedback on my level which was very helpful, as I wanted to add a little platform jumping phase for the player where I played small pillars that lead upwards. However, I had them floating which I was told isn't a good idea as they look random and don't fit the scene. I took this feedback to the drawing board and I couldn't agree more! Please see below the amended version of the platform jumper which I will develop further when creating the forest part of the level. 07 - Hammer Girl Project 05/03/2021 - I was given this project on Thursday 25th February 2021 and the deadline for this is Friday 26th March 2021. In this project we're focusing more on different blueprints and how to implement them into the game to add different functions / mechanics / interactions for the player to have. We have been given a number of different assets to utilize to make the game look more user friendly and look more like a finished game.  We could either do this a as solo project or pair up with someone within our class, having it so one person makes level 1 and it then leads the player into level 2, I have paired up with someone in my class called Aaron Wilson and we have confirmed that he'll be doing level 1 and I will be doing level 2. We have discussed the scenery and how to try and make both levels relevant to one another. His level is going to be a snowy starter zone with a quest on getting the hammer by collecting gems and getting a torch by collection...
